The Jimenez Family – Lillian, Chad, Michael, Jessica, &  John Parker

Meet Your Physical Therapist

Dr. Jessica Simon Jimenez, PT, DPT

My name is Jessica Simon Jimenez, and I was born and raised just south of Crowley, LA. My parents, Glenn and Rhonda, raised 4 children on the family rice and soybean farm. Summer breaks consisted of waking up before sunrise, and driving a rice cart until after dark to help on the family farm. This instilled in me, the importance of working hard to achieve my goals.

I graduated from Notre Dame High School in Crowley, LA in 2003, and continued my education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where I graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science – Exercise Science with a minor in Biology. Continuing on to graduate school, I attended the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences to attend Physical Therapy school, where I graduated in 2009 with honors and obtained my Doctorate of Physical Therapy. The city of St. Augustine holds a special place in my heart because this is where I met my future husband, Chad Jimenez.

I returned to the Lafayette area to start my post professional career as a traveling physical therapist while Chad finished his studies to obtain his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. We had big plans to travel the country together as contract physical therapists; however, our dreams came to an abrupt halt when Chad’s father, John, passed away suddenly in March 2011. This slammed the brakes on our plans to travel the country as physical therapists, and changed our lives forever.

A conversation that Chad and I had following his father’s passing is vividly engrained into my memory. Chad stated, “it’s a terrible feeling to be away from your family when something tragic happens”. That was his way of telling me that instead of packing up our belongings and traveling for a living, we needed to plant our roots and find a place to call home.

In April 2011, Chad graduated from physical therapy school, and our wedding took place 2 weeks later. Being from a small country town, I wanted to hold true to my roots, and Chad wanted to live in a neighborhood, so that when our future children grew up they would have friends to play with. We were able to find the best of both worlds, and in December of 2011, we purchased our first home located in Scott, Louisiana. We focused on furthering our careers for several years before realizing that our family was not complete. We wanted to start our family.

In August 2014, we started our family and welcomed John Parker into the world. I could not be happier than the time I first held that healthy baby boy in my arms. On Independence Day in 2016, we then welcomed our sweet little Michael. Then to our surprise, exactly 12 months later, our sweet little princess, Lillian, arrived. Our family was finally complete, and I still thank the good Lord every morning for allowing me to be the mother of these 3. Our children attend Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School and Stepping Stones Childcare and Preschool located here in Scott, LA. We are active parishioners of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church here in Scott, LA as well. We are proud supporters of local business in Scott, LA and the surrounding area, and love the friendly, small town feel.

My goal is to treat each and every one of you with empathy and compassion. My goal is to help you obtain all of your goals, and become the best version of you, so you can live your best life.

I look forward to serving each and every one of you.
